11th Matchplay Crow For Phil Taylor

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

It was a very close match till it was 11-9 then after than Phil Taylor just gets changes gear and cruises away from Barneveld to win his third Matchplay crown in a row and 11th crown overall at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens. This is an outstanding achievement from, undoubtedly the best dart player of all times and it doesn’t look like Phil will stop with this. He said he will continue to try and win every championship he plays in.

Barneveld did fought back to make the match more interesting when it was 11-9 but then Phil just got up another gear and won the match by 18-12, it was a great performance. The man is invincible in my eyes. To be fair Barneveld did not play badly at all it was just Taylor was awesome once again.

The 49 year old maestro has now won this crown three years in a won and don’t think he will stop anytime soon. Later after the match he said its not about how many times I win it, its about everytime I win it feels great holding this trophy in my hand. Looks like there is still plenty of fire in his belly to win more tournaments. Basically he is saying in my words that if you want to win you have to wait till I retired to his fellow dart players.

In darts Phil Taylor is certainly head and shoulder above everyone else. It is very tough to beat the guy when he is in this sort of form. Phil beat Raymond with ease and Raymond is World number two behind Phil.

I have been organising dart tournaments inside many cruises from Regent cruises and Holland America cruises for last 12 years. I have always been in love with the darts and I don’t believe there will be another Phil Taylor till I am alive.

England’s Big Tournaments Woes

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

English football generates more money than any other leagues in the World. All top quality football players have said that English premiership is one of the toughest league to play on but having such a strong league why can’t England win big tournaments? I reckon all these English players selected for the World cup squad should be at home cleaning their Kitchen accessories and tableware if they do not perform in South Africa this World Cup.

England are not the only side who will be under pressure there are other good football playing sides such as Spain and Holland who have never won the World cup but England did win it once. English premiership players earn a lot of money there are some good quality English players even though premiership attracts players from different countries, but these big earning English players fail to produce the goods in big tournaments? Why is it that Germany, France, Brazil and Italy have more trophies than England? Even when England’s national game is football. No one knows what the answer is.

I feel the English players are so used to their club that they get nervous and don’t know where they are playing when it comes to England and big tournaments. The media puts so much pressure on them that they falter at big stages. Others argue that other teams get the same attention media of their country when big tournaments come but they do not falter so what is wrong with England?

What are your thoughts? Do you think England will win 2010 World cup or do you think they will lose in penalties again? I am a big fan of England I sincerely hope we do well this year but I do have my fear of England not performing because they haven’t performed in last few tournaments. If they come back with the World Cup then I have bottle openers in my drawer to open up a champagne bottle.

Make A Stopwatch Part Of Your Sports Training Program

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

If you are at all interested in fast paced sports or physical fitness, than you might want to invest in a few different objects that can vastly improve the experience. One of these items that you might consider would be a sports stopwatch.

Truth be told, there are several different reasons for why you might use a stopwatch in your day to day life. Likewise, there are several different things that you are going to want to consider when the time comes for buying one. Both of these aspects are going to be addressed through the upcoming paragraphs of this article.

If you are taking a serious stand towards your physical fitness, you might want to keep a stopwatch handy. This is going to help you keep track of the time that it takes you to complete the exercise task that you have laid before yourself. You can begin to gauge your improvement on the same exercise pieces and parts based on the time it consistently takes you to complete it.

That is not to suggest that some people are not just serious athletes. For instance, those trying to compete at a national or even international level in their particular field of sports could benefit from comparing their times against the average best time. This can help show you the amount that you need to improve, or the routine you need to maintain to stay in contention.

There are several features that you are going to likely want on your particular stopwatch. One of these would be the ability to have two different times to be saved. This will help you to compare your own time against an average of the best. Depending on your sport, you might want to get a waterproof model as well.

There are plenty of things to consider about a sports stopwatch, but this should have given you a pretty good idea of their use and some of the important features. While there are more features you might care to consider or include, you should have an idea if one of these watches will really help or not.

4 Factors To Consider In Surfing Lesson For Pros

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

Surfing may only appear like its value can be commensurate to that of the fun it can provide.  However, ever since the late 50’s, it has become a serious sport for many.  As a matter of fact, it can no longer be associated with beach bums as it used to be. Now you can hear of professional surfers who are earning millions from riding beautifully on waves.  Because of this, you can also see men and women taking a surf lesson with the seriousness of a college senior. You can enroll simply by merely going to a popular surfing spot. But, you have to select wisely your surfing school. Consider only that offer lessons for pros.

You have to make sure that the surfing school is recognized by professional surfing organizations.  If the school is not accredited you are at risk of studying a substandard surf lesson.  This is will just be a waste of time and money.  Worse, you end up only a little better than you were.  The pros will only take your surfing as a nothing much than a first timer on a surf baord. One guarantee you can have is when you have renowned pro for an instructor. Season count and location matter a lot to those that are high quality surf schools. Therefore, you should not think of enrolling in one of those schools found at the beaches that don’t offer good surfing. If you aim to develop professional surfing skills in due time then don’t be satisfied with those unchallenging waves.  Select a surf school that can bring out the pro inside you by allowing you to try more difficult waves like the dumpers. Of course, you should try those smaller rolling waves first but as soon as you have enough skills, then you should try the more challenging ones.

You must give importance to your gear and equipment as you take a surf lesson.  If you are only given access to substandard surfboards and wetsuits then you will not have that feeling of learning the sport like a professional does. This will actually dampen your learning process. You must find out if the surf school allows you use different types of surfboards. A pro is someone who can use any type of surfboard and still manages to perform at his best.

The fourth and last element to think of for a surf lesson is the number of instructors. If there’s too few of them in relation to the number of learners, this will more likely affect the quality of training. Of course, the ideal is one on one. If this is not possible, you can go for at least 7 students per instructor.

Pro Basketball Suggestions On How To Jump Higher

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Basketball enthusiast or not, being able to make high jumps is one of the main ability we admire in basketball players.  We will be able to never appear to get too much of how these leapers can simply slice their way up to the air with just the ideal dunk landing into the ring!

However,as much as every basketball player would like to get this talent, not so many of them are successful.  Why?  They may not be training the easiest way to jump higher correctly.  Some might not have their own coaches to help them.  Others simply don’t understand how to start the coaching.  these are some extremely simple exercise that may help you to jump higher in basketball and to jump higher – and dunk!

1.  Warm up Exercises – always start your exercise with a heat up.  Begin with a simple stretching of leg and arm muscles followed by a jog that should gradually increase in speed.  Warming up will help your body to adapt to the movements of the exercises that will follow much later .  Bending your knees up closest to the back of your thigh while standing and keeping your back straight should also be a good heat up exercise for jumping.

2.  Jumping Exercises – Crouch down with your knees up to your chest and your back straight.  Then quickly, jump up as high into the air as you can and attempt to land in the same position as you started.  Repeat this exercise until you are feeling that you have relatively increased your jump.  Today, make it an inch higher.  Tomorrow perhaps, you should be able to comfortably jump an in. and a half higher.  Jumping exercises may also be done by trying to leap and jump over barriers.  However , it should be duly noted that safety cares such as a padded floor should be ready to break a fall as basketball players are not be gymnasts who have been trained for years to execute clean, high hurdle jumps.

3.  Toe Raise Exercises – Toe raising exercises helps with your balance.  It also add strength and precision to your footing and thigh and calf muscles.  Try this exercise by standing on flat on your sole and slowly standing on your toes.  When you are comfortable with the exercise, try it with a little bit of weights.

4.  Jumping Rope – Most athletes with high jumps endorse jumping rope exercises.  Jumping ropes help your running, ankle and calf muscles, preparing these for higher jumps on the court.

Trampoline Should Not Be a Part Of Olympic Games

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Trampoline Olympics Athens 2004

Olympic combines of sports competed in the summer and winter. 2012 summer Olympics in London will include of 26 sports and 300 events. Currently there is a Winter Olympic being held in Canada which includes 7 sports with 80 events. Out of the 300 events one, trampoline event was introduced on 2000 by the Olympic committee. Trampolines is an event which is a part of Gymnastic but should it really be a part of Olympics?.

Many people have questioned this decision as they believe there are other sports such as Cricket (20/20) should have been considered before trampolines. Next thing you know in few years there will be different events under trampolines with athletes competing on 8ft trampolines, 10ft trampolines, 12ft trampolines and mini trampolines. China have won the last few gold medals on this event for both Men and Women and when the 8ft, 10ft events are introduces they will take a clean sweep and increase theyr gold medals tally to 100 per Olympic games. Just how many gold medals are there to give away? What am I good at? Erm, Typing! Can typing be a part of Olympic sport? I might win some kind of medal?

But this introduction has given opportunity for trampoline to market itself and people these days are purchasing trampolines for their homes. It also attract people in a way that they might want to take trampolining as a professional sport and go compete in Olympic Games one day. Another good thing in this recession is more people would be interested in learning and they will need someone to teach them so people who are not able to compete but have relevant knowledge on trampolining, this gives them an opportunity to use this talent as an income or a profession. Especially in China where there are many people making money through table tennis and badminton they are given another option of trampolining to win more gold medals and make more money out of it – I am joking!.

It is one of the hardest equipment to use for exercise and fitness. You will need good balance and strength to achieve what you are looking for through the fitness regime but it gives good results but I am still not sure if it should be a part of Olympic Games.
