11th Matchplay Crow For Phil Taylor
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010It was a very close match till it was 11-9 then after than Phil Taylor just gets changes gear and cruises away from Barneveld to win his third Matchplay crown in a row and 11th crown overall at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens. This is an outstanding achievement from, undoubtedly the best dart player of all times and it doesn’t look like Phil will stop with this. He said he will continue to try and win every championship he plays in.
Barneveld did fought back to make the match more interesting when it was 11-9 but then Phil just got up another gear and won the match by 18-12, it was a great performance. The man is invincible in my eyes. To be fair Barneveld did not play badly at all it was just Taylor was awesome once again.
The 49 year old maestro has now won this crown three years in a won and don’t think he will stop anytime soon. Later after the match he said its not about how many times I win it, its about everytime I win it feels great holding this trophy in my hand. Looks like there is still plenty of fire in his belly to win more tournaments. Basically he is saying in my words that if you want to win you have to wait till I retired to his fellow dart players.
In darts Phil Taylor is certainly head and shoulder above everyone else. It is very tough to beat the guy when he is in this sort of form. Phil beat Raymond with ease and Raymond is World number two behind Phil.
I have been organising dart tournaments inside many cruises from Regent cruises and Holland America cruises for last 12 years. I have always been in love with the darts and I don’t believe there will be another Phil Taylor till I am alive.
