11th Matchplay Crow For Phil Taylor

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

It was a very close match till it was 11-9 then after than Phil Taylor just gets changes gear and cruises away from Barneveld to win his third Matchplay crown in a row and 11th crown overall at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens. This is an outstanding achievement from, undoubtedly the best dart player of all times and it doesn’t look like Phil will stop with this. He said he will continue to try and win every championship he plays in.

Barneveld did fought back to make the match more interesting when it was 11-9 but then Phil just got up another gear and won the match by 18-12, it was a great performance. The man is invincible in my eyes. To be fair Barneveld did not play badly at all it was just Taylor was awesome once again.

The 49 year old maestro has now won this crown three years in a won and don’t think he will stop anytime soon. Later after the match he said its not about how many times I win it, its about everytime I win it feels great holding this trophy in my hand. Looks like there is still plenty of fire in his belly to win more tournaments. Basically he is saying in my words that if you want to win you have to wait till I retired to his fellow dart players.

In darts Phil Taylor is certainly head and shoulder above everyone else. It is very tough to beat the guy when he is in this sort of form. Phil beat Raymond with ease and Raymond is World number two behind Phil.

I have been organising dart tournaments inside many cruises from Regent cruises and Holland America cruises for last 12 years. I have always been in love with the darts and I don’t believe there will be another Phil Taylor till I am alive.

Will The Favourites Federer Or Nadal Win Wimbledon This Year?

Friday, August 20th, 2010

Wimbledon

Who will win the Wimbledon this year? I know it is hard to judge or guess at this early stage of the championship but I am very excited. From the first two matches people are already questioning Federer’s chance of winning his seventh title at Wimbledon, because he did not play that well. A lot of people are backing Nadal to win it again this year after his triumph in 2008. It doesn’t matter who wins, he (winner) deserves to go on luxury cruises trip to the Caribbean no doubt.

I would back Nadal up to be honest especially after his 5th title at French open this year, he must be feeling good after that win. Can Andy Roddick or Andy Murray win it this year? If Roddick wins it, it won’t be a surprise because the guy has been training hard last few years and has reach three finals but lost to Federer in all three. Last year’s final was an epic final and Roddick was ever so close to winning it but eventually was beatern by Federer again.

This year Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Andy Roddick are also challenging for the title and don’t forget Robin Soderling, who has done so well in French open can be a real surprise this year. I am also backing Andy Murray but I hope he doesn’t play the waiting game. He needs to attack his baseline rallies rather than defending them. A lot of people who have been watching him in the past say that he is too defensive and waits for his opponent to make the mistake, let’s hope he has learned from his experience and gets a bit aggressive.

If he does surprise up by winning the title, which I doubt when you have Federer, Nadal and Roddick in the picture then Andy deserves to have few weeks break on Royal Caribbean cruises or cunard cruises. To be honest I feel the finalist and the winner deserves to go on luxury cruise.

4 Factors To Consider In Surfing Lesson For Pros

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

Surfing may only appear like its value can be commensurate to that of the fun it can provide.  However, ever since the late 50’s, it has become a serious sport for many.  As a matter of fact, it can no longer be associated with beach bums as it used to be. Now you can hear of professional surfers who are earning millions from riding beautifully on waves.  Because of this, you can also see men and women taking a surf lesson with the seriousness of a college senior. You can enroll simply by merely going to a popular surfing spot. But, you have to select wisely your surfing school. Consider only that offer lessons for pros.

You have to make sure that the surfing school is recognized by professional surfing organizations.  If the school is not accredited you are at risk of studying a substandard surf lesson.  This is will just be a waste of time and money.  Worse, you end up only a little better than you were.  The pros will only take your surfing as a nothing much than a first timer on a surf baord. One guarantee you can have is when you have renowned pro for an instructor. Season count and location matter a lot to those that are high quality surf schools. Therefore, you should not think of enrolling in one of those schools found at the beaches that don’t offer good surfing. If you aim to develop professional surfing skills in due time then don’t be satisfied with those unchallenging waves.  Select a surf school that can bring out the pro inside you by allowing you to try more difficult waves like the dumpers. Of course, you should try those smaller rolling waves first but as soon as you have enough skills, then you should try the more challenging ones.

You must give importance to your gear and equipment as you take a surf lesson.  If you are only given access to substandard surfboards and wetsuits then you will not have that feeling of learning the sport like a professional does. This will actually dampen your learning process. You must find out if the surf school allows you use different types of surfboards. A pro is someone who can use any type of surfboard and still manages to perform at his best.

The fourth and last element to think of for a surf lesson is the number of instructors. If there’s too few of them in relation to the number of learners, this will more likely affect the quality of training. Of course, the ideal is one on one. If this is not possible, you can go for at least 7 students per instructor.

Dallas Cowboys Helmet: A Crucial Collection Item For Many Fans

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

The Dallas Cowboys helmet design consists of a vertical stripe of blue-white-blue with a very unique silver and blue star that is famous in all America. A Dallas Cowboys helmet is a great collection item for many fans, particularly if it is signed by one of the players. Design is not a singular peculiarity here as the Cowboys are the only NFL team that add the player’s name under the helmet stripe. Cowboys’ history has seen several modifications of the helmet, and the first color variations go in the 70s. Back then, instead of blue-white-blue, the Dallas Cowboys helmet had a red-white-blue stripe on the crown.

This change in the Dallas Cowboys helmet pattern was made to honor the United States bicentennial anniversary in 1976. There are situations when silver helmets can be used helping players send a certain message. Such a variation marked one game in the 1994-1995 playoffs when the absence of the star was meant to underline the league-wide ‘throwback’ policy. The modifications in the Cowboys’ uniform are an event that many people are eager to witness. Although rare, such happenings could become real news in the sports world.

The pinnacle of any great collection, a Dallas Cowboys helmet is treasured by real fans. You can definitely boast with such an item particularly if it is signed. There are plenty of stores that sell authentic Dallas Cowboys helmet models, and you can recognize them by the certification as well as by the higher price. Many people who buy such items have an interest in enhancing their feeling of belonging to a team.

A true fan will not feel pleased until he/she manages to get a real Dallas Cowboys helmet as a way to improve the collection and be able to show off. Don’t be surprised if you see the silver-blue star on the Dallas Cowboys helmet on watches, jerseys, posters, socks and lots of other memorabilia. They become inspirational items and a great way people use to express their support and preference for one of the greatest American football teams. It is nevertheless a pity that a collection item will hardly get the chance to be worn in a game.

Discovering the Inclusive Matters of Billiards Store

Monday, March 1st, 2010

Billiads tables are usually thought of as life long possessions provided the investment one has to make in order to purchase one. Any level of game skills can be practiced on a good billiards table so that is why you need to analyze every factor carefully before buying it. Start with where to make your purchase and which billiards store would you opt to go to.

A billiards store would have a selection of pool tables to choose from, so start with the size of the table you would like to purchase. An empty space, ideally a large enough room, of your house should be selected to begin with and the budget should be recognized. You should also determine if you could afford to buy and need to buy a brand new billiards table or a second hand one.

When at the billiards store check out the features of the most expensive tables and decide on the features that you value and are within your budget, such as slanted sides that are usually stronger. It is better to choose a frame that is pre-built in a factory as it is stronger than the ones assembled in the house. The most essential element of the pool table is the playing surface that includes the cloth, the rails and the cushions, so make sure special attention is paid to it before purchasing.

Brand name tables are always a safe purchase. Don t be stingy when it comes to professionally installing the table because it will certainly be worth the money once it is put together correctly. Always employ an installer who is certified by a distinguished billiards store.

It is important that you also receive a written contract stating the warranty and services that comes along with the billiards table. If you receive decades of warranty, you may want to reconsider the business strength of the billiards store because by the tim you need their services, they may not be in business anymore. It is safest to purchase a pool table from a reliable billiards store that has been in business for a while. Check around with friends for any recommendations too.

Billiards Rack : A Smart Road Map

Monday, March 1st, 2010

I’m pretty sure everybody knows what a billard rack is. It is that triangular thing that is used to arrange billiard balls at the beginning of every game. Each game has various rules for racking.

Near the foul spot of the pool table, place one corner of the billiards rack. This corner is referred to as the apex. You will notice a small marking which indiates where to place the racked balls. While it is arranged the yellow ball 1 will be placed at the apex and the ball 8 will be placed in the middle while all other balls will be placed in random order. Sometimes the balls are placed alternating with a solid and a striped ball, this is mostly seen in amateur competitions.

Make sure to push the billiards rack so that the ball at the apex is on the foul mark and that the side that is opposite the apex is close to the end of the table and parallel to it too. It is important that the balls are packed tightly together or when the break shot is made they will not break properly. Push the balls toward the apex with the tips of your fingers so they are packed tightly.

Various games take up different ordered racking of the balls. Such as for straight pool the 1 ball is placed at the right corner and the 5 ball is placed at the left corner. The rest of the balls may be in any order. For a game of bank pool and one ball, the balls may be placed in the billiards rack at random.

Ideally a diamond shaped rack is used for a game of nine-ball billiards but there’s nothing wrong with using a triangular billiard rack as well. The difference with diamond shaped racks are that one of the two corners will be placed as the apex while the other corner will point at the table closest to its end. The 1 ball is always placed at the apex because in the nine-ball game the cue ball must strike the lowest numbered ball on the table first on each shot, whilst the remaining balls can be placed in random order in the rack.
